Meet Liam

Hi!  I'm Liam Lennon.  I'm 12, and am in middle school just outside of Denver.  I started The Lucky Penny as part of the Young Americans Center for Financial Education's YouthBiz program for entrepreneurs.  I wanted to create a product that was unique and affordable, offered something meaningful to customers, and wasn't expensive for me to start.  I love working with my hands, so making items with pennies was a perfect combination.

When I'm not working on my business, I have a lot of other interests too.  I love baseball, math and aeronautics, and I hope to be an astronaut or test pilot.  I am saving some of the money I earn to help me participate in those activities.  I also am devoted to animals and want every one to have a home, so I donate part of my earnings to the Denver Dumb Friends League.

My twin brother Owen runs a business, too, and together we have been on several local news shows talking about our experience with the Young Americans Center.  We have both been finalists in the YouthBiz Stars competition in both 2017 and 2018, and I was the winner in 2018.  Take a look at Owen's products at

Thanks for stopping by!  I can be reached at  I am a student, so if it takes me a day or two to respond, I hope you understand.
